I started gardening in 2009 after buying my first home, which has a huge backyard for being in the suburbs. This blog is my personal journey bringing it from an almost completely empty space to how I envision it.
I’d always thought I had a “black thumb” because I had trouble keeping houseplants alive. Like most people I didn’t realize that potted plants are harder to work with than plants in the ground. I’ve had a learning curve for sure, but I’m getting my confidence.
I’m a full time Analyst, so after working all day on the computer, it’s nice to come home and dig around in the dirt. There’s something really satisfying about planting something and seeing it grow and mature.
I live in Zone 5 suburbs east of Toronto with my husband, 2 children, 1 cat, and 1 dog.
